Cable tie mounts — frequently asked questions
What are cable tie mounts used for?
Cable tie mounts fix a cable tie, and the bundle it holds, to a surface such as a panel, wall, cabinet or machine frame. You fix the mount first, then thread a standard cable tie through it.
How do self-adhesive cable tie mounts work?
Clean the surface with a dry cloth, peel the release liner and press the mount firmly in place. Then pass a cable tie through the slot — no drilling needed. Our HC series has a self-adhesive backing; the R and T styles also take a screw for a permanent fix.
Which cable tie fits which mount?
Use a tie narrower than the mount’s tie hole (T) listed in the specification tables — for example HC-19S has a 4.5 mm hole, so a 2.5 or 3.6 mm tie fits.
What temperature can the adhesive mounts handle?
The adhesive temperature range is available on request. Tell us your application and surface and our team will advise.
Do you make saddle mounts and wall-plug cable tie holders?
Yes. KHC saddle mounts are fixed with a screw, and TTH/TTD cable tie holders push into a Ø9 mm wall-plug hole for masonry and concrete walls.
What is the difference between wire tie mounts, zip tie mounts and cable tie bases?
They are the same product under different names: a base you fix to a surface so a cable tie can hold a bundle in place. We supply them as self-adhesive mounts, screw-fixed saddles, hexagon mounts and wall-plug holders.
What colours are available?
Natural and black, and custom colours are possible for bulk orders.
What is the minimum order for cable tie mounts?
Our minimum order is US$5,000 per order, and you can mix mounts, ties and other products to reach it. More answers are on our bulk cable ties FAQ.
