Choose your specification
Choose ETFE cable ties in three simple steps
Start with bundle diameter, compare the strength, then confirm the installation environment.
Measure your bundle
Measure the outside diameter of the complete bundle. Choose a model with a suitable maximum bundle diameter and enough tail to tension and trim.
Match width to strength
Strength rises with strap width: from 80 N on a 2.5 mm strap to 560 N on a 7.6 mm strap. Length changes the bundle range, not the strength.
Check heat & chemicals
Use ETFE up to 170 °C where chemicals, radiation or UV are also present. For heat alone, nylon heat-resistant grades cost less; above 170 °C use stainless steel.

Installation note: avoid over-tightening delicate wire jackets. Minimum tensile ratings are test values—not safe working loads or lifting capacities.
Practical applications
Where ETFE cable ties are used
For installations where heat, chemicals, radiation or sunlight rule out standard nylon.
Cable ties in use. Shown for application reference.
Chemical & petrochemical plants
Bundle cables and tubing near acids, solvents and process chemicals that degrade nylon.
Selection tip: Send the chemical list so we can confirm suitability.
High-temperature equipment
Wiring on furnaces, ovens, motors and process lines running up to 170 °C.
Selection tip: Above 170 °C, switch to stainless steel ties.
Aerospace, nuclear & radiation-exposed sites
ETFE resists gamma radiation and UV. Confirm the approvals your project requires with our team before ordering.
Selection tip: Ask for the documents your approval process needs.

Buyer questions
Tefzel® ETFE cable ties — frequently asked questions
Cable ties moulded from ETFE, a fluoropolymer best known under the Tefzel® brand. They keep their strength where heat, chemicals, radiation or sunlight would break down standard nylon ties. We supply them in genuine Tefzel® resin or an equivalent ETFE grade.
Our ETFE ties are rated for use up to 170 °C. Ask us for the low-temperature rating for your application. Above 170 °C, use stainless steel cable ties.
If heat is the only problem, heat-resistant nylon ties cost less. Choose ETFE when heat comes together with chemicals, radiation or long UV exposure.
Yes. ETFE resists a wide range of chemicals that attack nylon. Send us the chemicals and temperatures in your application and we will confirm suitability before you order.
Yes. ETFE is UV resistant, so the ties suit long-term outdoor installations as well as indoor plant.
Yes. ECTFE ties (the material sold as Halar®) are available on request. Send us the sizes and quantities you need and we will quote them alongside ETFE.
The minimum order value is US$5,000. You can mix ETFE ties with other products to reach it.
