Custom Zip Ties — Your Colour, Size, Logo and Packaging
Custom zip ties let you put your own colour, size, print and packaging on a product your customers already buy. We make them at our own plant in Bozhou, Anhui — nylon PA66, polypropylene and stainless steel, in our standard range or to your specification. Minimum order is 10,000 pieces, samples are free, and we reply within 24 hours. This page sets out what can be changed, what each change asks of you, and what we need in order to quote.

What you can change on a custom cable tie
Four things are adjustable, and they carry very different costs in time and tooling. Knowing which one you actually need is usually the fastest way to a sensible quote.
Colour & Size
Brand colours matched to a Pantone reference, or widths and lengths outside our standard tiers. Available across nylon and plastic ties and metal ties alike.
Printing & Marking
Your logo, part numbers, batch codes or warning text carried on the strap itself, so the identification cannot be separated from the fixing. For write-on identification instead, see marker ties.
Which option fits your order?
Most enquiries need one or two of these, not all four. The right-hand column is what speeds a quote up — send it with your first message and you skip a round of questions.
| Option | What changes | What we need from you | Typical use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Colour | Strap colour across the run | A Pantone reference, or a sample we can match | Brand colours, colour-coded circuits |
| Size | Width and length outside our standard tiers | Width, length and the load it has to hold | A bundle our stock range does not fit |
| Printing | Logo, text or codes on the strap | Vector artwork and the strap width it sits on | Branding, asset tags, batch traceability |
| Packaging | Bag, carton, label and barcode | Your artwork, barcode and pack quantity | Retail shelf, distributor stock |
Minimum order quantity, tooling costs and lead time vary by what is being customised. Confirm them with our team before ordering.

| Standard | Natural, White | Held in stock across the range |
| UV grade | Black | The outdoor and UV-stabilised option |
| On request | Black, Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Grey | Produced to order on a custom run |
| Matched | Your Pantone | Send a reference or a physical sample; we confirm what is achievable in the material before you commit |
What is the minimum order for a custom run?
Our standard minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. Where a run involves custom colour, printing or new tooling, the minimum depends on what is being changed — confirm it with our team before ordering. Pricing is quoted per thousand and improves with volume, because you are buying from the factory rather than through a trading company. For how larger volumes are priced, see bulk pricing and MOQ.
Printed cable ties — logos, text and codes
A printed tie does two jobs at once: it fixes the bundle and it identifies it. Because the tie stays on the asset for the life of the installation, so does whatever is printed on it. Send vector artwork and the strap width, and we will confirm what stays legible at that size before anything is produced.
| What goes on the strap | Why buyers ask for it |
|---|---|
| Company name or logo | The tie stays on the asset for years — it keeps your name there too |
| Part, circuit or asset numbers | Identification without a separate label that can fall off |
| Batch or date codes | Traceability back to a production run during an audit |
| Warning or instruction text | Safety marking that cannot be separated from the fixing |

The factory behind your custom run
Two decades of factory-direct manufacturing, and custom work produced on the same lines and the same quality system as our standard range.
Personalized zip ties for brands, events and resale
Custom runs are not only for industry. Promotional and event work, retail own-brand lines and membership or access identification all come through the same process — the difference is usually artwork and packaging rather than the tie itself.
OEM & private-label brands Distributors & wholesalers Electrical contractors Promotional & event suppliers Retail & hardware chains Utilities & asset owners Data centres
Private-label bags, cartons and barcode labels
The pack your customer picks up can carry your brand from the outer carton down to the barcode. Retail bags, bulk cartons, counted packs and your own label artwork are all standard options, and we print the barcode you supply rather than generating our own.
Send the artwork and the pack quantity with your enquiry. Packing format affects both shipping cost and shelf presentation, so it is worth settling early rather than at the end — changing it after the first run usually means new label tooling.
OEM production under your own brand
OEM is a core service, not an exception. We produce to your specification, pack under your label, and ship with documentation in your company’s name. Pre-production samples are approved by you before mass production begins.
If you are weighing OEM against buying a standard line and re-labelling it, the deciding factors are usually volume and how much of the product actually needs to change. Tell us both and we will say plainly which route is cheaper for you — see also our factory and OEM capability.
Where custom ties get ordered
The sectors where a standard tie off the shelf is not quite the product they need.
Electrical & Contracting
Circuit and panel identification printed onto the tie, in colours that match an existing site convention.
Automotive & Harness
Harness builds to a customer drawing, with part numbers carried on the tie for assembly-line traceability.
Data Centres & Telecom
Colour-coded runs and asset tagging across racks, where consistent identification is half the maintenance job.
Retail & Own-Brand
Hardware and DIY lines packed under a retailer’s own label, barcoded and counted to their shelf format.
Promotional & Events
Branded ties for festivals, access control and giveaways, where the print and the colour are the entire point.
Utilities & Asset Owners
Batch and date codes for traceability, on assets that get audited years after installation.
Personalised cable ties for events and promotional runs
Promotional work has different priorities from industrial supply: the print and the colour matter more than the tensile rating, and the deadline is usually fixed by an event date rather than a production schedule.
Tell us the date you need them in hand, not just the quantity. We would rather say early that a deadline is tight than discover it during production — and for a firm date, artwork approval is the step that most often slips.
Certified, compliant and ready for your audit file
Independently issued documentation travels with every order, custom runs included, and we send it before you buy if your approval process needs it first.
Quality control on a custom batch
A custom run gets the same controls as standard production — incoming material verification, dimensional checks during moulding and loop tensile testing before packing — plus artwork and colour checked against your approved sample rather than against our own reference.
The step that matters most on a custom run is the first one off the line. We hold your approved sample at the machine and check the first articles against it — colour under consistent light, print position and legibility, and the dimensions — before the run is allowed to continue. Retained samples from each batch stay with us afterwards, so if a question comes up six months later we can go back to what actually shipped rather than to a specification sheet. Third-party inspection before despatch is welcome and several of our distributor customers book one as standard.
Need a size we do not already hold?
Beyond colour and printing we tool new sizes. Whether that is worth doing depends on your volume against the tooling cost, so send the dimensions, the load it has to hold and the annual quantity, and we will tell you honestly whether a custom mould pays for itself or whether an existing size will do the job.
Before quoting tooling we will usually check whether you need it at all. An existing width at a longer length, or a tier up in strength, solves a surprising number of requests at no tooling cost and with a much shorter lead time. A new mould makes sense when the dimension is genuinely unavailable and the annual volume carries the cost — and when it does, the tool is yours for repeat orders, so the second run is priced like any standard item. Send the drawing or the bundle it has to fit and we will tell you which of the two you are looking at.

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum order for custom zip ties?
Our standard minimum order quantity is 10,000 pieces. For a run that also involves custom colour, printing or a new mould, confirm the minimum with our team before ordering — it depends on what is being changed. Send the size list and we will tell you exactly where you stand.
Can you print our logo on the tie?
Yes. Send vector artwork and tell us which strap width it has to sit on, and we will come back with what fits legibly at that size. Narrow straps limit how much detail survives, so we confirm the layout with you before production rather than after. There is more background in our guide to custom printed cable ties.
What colours can we have?
Natural and white are standard, black is the UV-stabilised grade, and brown, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and grey are produced to order. For a brand colour, send a Pantone reference or a physical sample — we confirm what is achievable in the material before you commit, because not every shade behaves the same in nylon.
How long does a custom order take?
Lead time depends on what is being customised — a colour change runs faster than new tooling, and printing adds an artwork approval step. We confirm exact dates against your order at quotation, and we would rather give you a date we can hold than an optimistic one.
Do you charge for tooling or setup?
It depends on the change. A colour or packaging change generally does not need tooling; a size we do not already produce does. Setup and tooling costs are quoted with the order so you can see them separately rather than buried in the unit price.
Can we get samples before the full run?
Yes, and they are free. For OEM orders we also produce pre-production samples for your approval before mass production starts, so nothing goes to volume until you have signed off on the real thing.
Can you pack them under our own brand?
Yes — private-label bags, cartons, barcode labels and your own artwork are a standard service. Send the artwork and pack quantity with your enquiry. OEM versus private label explains how the two differ if you are deciding.
Ready to specify your custom run?
Send the details below and we will come back with options, pricing and a lead time. Artwork and destination country speed things up most.
